Working Out While Traveling

Welcome Back

Traveling is great. Seeing different parts of the world, meeting new people, and you can't forget about all of the amazing drinks & food. Who doesn't love that? Some people might see taking a vacation as a downside when it comes to their fitness goals. But, it really doesn't have to be like that. Depending on how long you are traveling, there are many ways to keep yourself in shape during your time away. Today, I will be giving you guys a few workouts that you can do anywhere at anytime.

Hotel Workout 

For this workout all you will need is a pair of Dumbbells and a kickass attitude. Hotels either have amazing gyms or they simply don't exist. In this case, lets hope they have one with the most basic workout equipment, dumbbells. Complete the first circuit, move to the second, and finish with the third. The goal is to complete this for a total of 3 rounds, but do whatever you are comfortable with.

First Circuit:

  • 30 Sec Russian Twists
  • 12 Jumping Squats
  • 12 Dumbbell Bench Press
  • 12 Weight Reverse Lunges

Second Circuit:

  • 12 Shoulder Presses
  • 30 Sec Wall Sit
  • 12 Sumo Squats
  • 20 Crunches

Third ( & Final ) Circuit:

  • 12 Overhead Extension
  • 14 Dumbbell Deadlift
  • 30 Sec Bicycle Crunch
  • 30 Sec Weighted Walking Lunges

HIIT Workout 

So, for this workout you will need to prepare yourself to be absolutely drenched in sweat after it goes down. This is one of my FAVORITE ever high intensity workouts. After I am done I feel so much better about myself and it literally takes 21 minutes to complete.... SO quick! Each exercise should be preformed for 30 seconds followed by a 30 second rest. After the rest, move on to the next exercise listed. If you are feeling brave, preform the exercise for 50 seconds followed by a 10 second rest. Good luck.

The Circuit:

  • Mountain Climbers
  • High Knees
  • Jumping Jacks
  • Burpees
  • Jumping Squats
  • Crunches
  • Bench Step Ups

*Repeat Circuit 3 Times = 21 Total Mins*

Interval Run 

Hit the treadmill or take this run outside, no excuses. 

The Workout:

  • 3-4 Min Jogging
  • 30 Sec Sprint
  • 1 Min Walk

*Repeat Cycle For a Total of 25 Minutes*

Core Finisher:

  • 45-60 Sec Plank
  • 20 In & Out Crunches
  • 20 Reverse Crunches

*Repeat For a Total of 3 Rounds*
