Meet Emily

Hello everyone! My name is Emily Cottrill and I am so happy you are here! For those of you who don’t really know me, I just graduated from Coastal Carolina University. At College, I fell in love with working out and feeling my best. This has not always been the case, though. I grew up playing soccer all my life, which required running an absurd amount of miles during each game. If you have ever played midfield, you know exactly what I am talking about. After the rigorous practicing and lifting schedule during the week, we then played games on the weekend. During this time in my life, I was burning so many calories playing soccer that I thought I could eat whatever I wanted. I would eat healthy for the most part, but I would eat out almost all of the time. Let’s fast forward a few years to my high school years. Long story short, I injured my back my junior year of High School. I could no longer run, lift heavy, or even jump for almost 6 months. It gradually improved over time and I had to work around the exercises that made it flare up. During this time in my life, I became insanely interested in fitness and health. I was basically like a sponge and wanted to soak up as much information as possible. I would read countless articles about new studies and upcoming science technology that was impacting the health and fitness world. Later on, I finally made the jump and decided to put all of my knowledge to use and got Certified as a Personal Trainer.

Becoming a Certified Personal Trainer has made my realize a few important things in life. I have one of the most rewarding, healthy, and fun jobs in the industry. Why do I love my job? Because I love to help people become more educated, motivated, confident, and STRONG. Strong is the new sexy and it is time everyone gets on board with that! I am determined to show people how to correctly nourish and train their bodies to get the results they deserve from all of their hard work. It is my job to coach you and make you FEEL and LOOK your best!  Let’s do this thing.
